Stepping back into full vocal territory for the spring, Diaspora emerges with Panyard's "Baby 3 Times". Raising a number of eyebrows at WMC 2003, this one is set to set some floors afire. With the hot vocal stylings of James B. Coleman holding court, the emotion in this song is undeniable. Currently in select high profile record boxes, we're expecting big things from this deeply soulful yet upbeat Panyard project - quite frankly, we can't get the chorus out of our heads!
With prior releases on such diverse imprints as Subliminal Soul, Hed Kandi, Music is Everything and now Diaspora, Panyard has garnered attention from the likes of Derrick Carter, Erick Morillo, Danny Rampling, and Frankie Valentine, among an array of others...bottom line: deep soulful music with a dancefloor sensibility

Raised from the chorus of Sweet Abraham's Rub, Diaspora welcomed a newcomer’s contribution to the drum section (New York’s Adam Cruz – pka The Almagest). Originally planned as a bonus-beat-apella mix, this 'cross-pond' collaboration grew into territory we hadn't expected: some aggressive drum sounds cut up in a London stylee set to Abe’s Bob James-esque keywork.
